Most of our customers book a general pest treatment to keep their homes free from the common crawling pests, but if there’s a specific pest problem or major infestation, we have a range of specialist pest treatments available too.
SAVE! Many of our customers get a small saving and added convenience by combining their general pest treatment with their annual termite inspection in the same visit.
Our Comprehensive Pest Spray
Our general pest treatment is designed to keep the inside of your home free from crawling pests. However, since most pests live outside and try to get inside, we focus our treatment on the external perimeter of the house. The roof void and sub-floor (if you have one) are also pest hotspots we treat. Internal treatments are focussed on skirting boards and targeted areas where pest activity is noted.
Service Free Period: We offer a service free period (warranty) of 6 months inside the house and 3 months outside the house, covering ants, cockroaches (excluding German cockroaches), spiders and silverfish.
The service does not include German cockroaches, heavy pest infestations or lawn pests, as these require specialist treatments. They can be booked as an add on service.

The tidier the home and yard, the easier it is to carry out a pest control treatment and the more thorough the application.
Put away belongings inside the home and around the perimeter of the house – it is important to have easy access to the edges of rooms and the perimeter of the building.
If you have a fish tank or fish pond, they should be covered to ensure no spray accidentally reaches the water.
It is not necessary to leave your house during the treatment, although many homeowners find it easier. It is important for people and pets to be kept clear of all treatment areas during application and stay clear of the treated areas until the spray has dried. This can take 1-2 hours.
As soon as the treatment is dry, people and pets can re-enter treated areas. To maximise the duration of the treatment, treated areas should not be washed or sprayed with a hose. If there are any spider webs to be removed from the treated areas, wait until 2-3 days after the treatment and then remove with a brush.
The pest control products we use are designed to be safe for use around people and pets. With insecticide sprays, it is important that people and pets stay out of the treatment area during application and remain out of the area until the treatment has dried.
Rodenticides certainly do represent a potential risk to people and pets. However, the baits we use contain a bittering agent which makes it unpalatable to people and dogs, we always use lockable bait stations and we place the bait stations in locations to minimise contact with people and pets.
Pest control treatments vary greatly in price – it depends on the types of pest present, the level of infestation, the type of treatment and the size of the property. For general pest treatments, prices in Brisbane from a quality pest exterminator will start from around $295 for a standard 4-bedroom house on a concrete slab.
How often you need pest control will depend on the pest pressure on your property. For most homeowners a general pest treatment once a year will be enough. However, as pest sprays generally last 3-6 months and the pest season in Brisbane is 9 months or more, some homeowners may require 2 treatments per year.
How long pest control lasts depends on the type of treatment, the pest pressure at the property and the environmental conditions. For example, a pest spray could last 6 months or more inside but may last 3 months or less outside. The sun, rain and concrete surfaces all reduce the duration of protection.
How to Prevent Pests in Your Home
Most homeowners have plants around the perimeter of their home, which they keep nicely watered. This creates an ideal pest environment – lots of food, water and hiding places. If there’s lots of pests right outside your house, it’s not surprising if a few make their way indoors.
Ideally the perimeter of the house should be kept clear of vegetation and kept nice and dry. This is especially important to make it less attractive to termites. The best option is to have plants in pots and use pebbles as the mulch. However, if plants in the ground are present, keep them well trimmed back, only use minimal watering and avoid using wood chips or straw as mulch.
It sounds obvious, but physically stopping pests coming into the house is the best way to prevent a pest problem. Well fitted insect screens on doors and windows can be very effective. Any cracks and crevices, especially around utility pipe entry points, should be filled. Weep holes should not be sealed up as they are important for moisture control, but weep hole protectors can be inserted into weep holes to prevent pests getting in but allowing moisture to escape. Trim back tree branches that may be overhanging the roof (provides access to roof rats and possums)
Most pests come inside by accident, looking for shelter or looking for food. Eliminating potential food sources will make your home far less attractive to pests:
- Make sure cooker, grill and fridge are all clean
- Clear up any food spills
- Clear away dirty dishes straight away after meals
- Don’t leave uneaten petfood out
- Ensure any opened food is placed in sealed plastic / glass containers
- Place all garbage in a bag and place in a bin with a tight fitting lid
- Ensure main garbage bins are cleaned weekly, have well fitted lids and if possible, store the bins away from the building
Pests are always looking for places to hide and breed. Eliminating potential hiding places will make it a lot hard for a pest infestation to start in the first place.
- Keep the perimeter of the building clear of stored goods and firewood
- Trim back any vegetation immediately surrounding the building
- Ensure the sub-floor and roof void are kept clear of stored goods. If goods are stored in these areas they should be in sealed plastic boxes rather than cardboard boxes.
